Struggle to survive in a harsh medieval world. Hunt wildlife, mine resources, build structures, and craft weapons and armor in order to protect yourself. You may form a guild, bring war to all opposition, and try to seize the throne and become king!

In Reign of Kings we allow you to collect resources and craft a wide variety of items needed to build a vast and powerful kingdom. We were primarily inspired by Rust & Chivalry in the development of this game.

In addition to standard resources, you may compete over the Ancient Throne which resides in a throne room which overlooks the island. All players who are not part of the King's Guild are taxed on the resources they collect.

The development of a melee combat system adds a gritty and visceral feeling to Reign of Kings that will allow players to become deeply immersed in a realistic and intense medieval survival experience.

The world itself is designed to inspire competition and struggles for power. Resource locations strategically spread throughout the game will create inequity and envy. Players will have the ability to make war, or even capture and hold other players in order to get what they want. Each player will have the power to decide the fate of the kingdom, or choose to entirely forego the responsibility of ruling the kingdom and roam the land as a freeman.

Game is x64 only, if you are running x86 OS, you can't play this game.

You need to have steam running.

run Reign of Kings.exe

Click Play
in the server browser, click search.
in the name textbox, input "kortal", click search.
Some cracked servers should show up. click on it, then connect.
The only server i'm running is the one listed below (Kortal's Area)

OR

input direct ip and click connect:
rok.kortal.org, port 4650

You need to have EAC running in order to play on our server.
Please note you can only join cracked servers.

i think that all depends on the game.

if it will be realy that good how we think.. im sure it will gain stable number of players
and therefore separate forum will be usefull..

since we all have to learn its mechanics and such... i hope there wont be shitload of glitches/exploits..
ways to hack and screw the game.

played for it like an hour, community is nice, but the server started throwing us out more and more, at the end we dc-ed at like every 2-5mins, and now its offline

well i was a bad person when i join kill every person walking ,sleeping , breathing xD
we can do siege and wars againts werewolves , players and zombies.
you can pvp  if the people create two guilds and have war for fun

yes but for that you need more players, i would say 20+. and chasing fresh spawns not gonna help it, they will just ragequit and never come back

with these problems, we can do pvp 5 vs 5 or   3 best players with the great castle vs all the noobs
 i dont think we can play with a lot of ppl cause of dc's.

i just spent few minutes on other server with lowest possible ping i saw.. around 28 players..
and it has so crazy lags.. insane ..

with all DC from kortals server its still more playable..
and i think ppl are causing it

Going to join u soon waiting for download to fifinish ...my download speed is 120 kb/s so yeah it gonna take 3 hours or more...I hope it'll be a good game.

added v1 hotfix. Is supposed to reduce some server crash.

hopefully they will work on weapon balances. Right now only viable weapons are 2handers. bow and javelin are just deal no proper damage, one handers without a shield are just too short and they get outplayed by a longer weapon. Also running while bandaging/eating is kinda stupid.

 Thx Kortal for the server, if they make some update i probably get the game next weekend, but as i know the company, the game gonna stay at this stage.

have to say so far this server is nice. i tried a bunch and everyone had some nutjob permanently setting taxes to maximum on here you get between 0% and 10% depending if the king needs recourses or is running low. even the playerbase so far is rather friendly for this kind of game sure you get the ocasional thieves if you dont watch out for your stuff (just learned that the first tier of the simple chests is not secure even in your claims ^^) and sure there are bandits but all those people are part of the game for me

i just hope it stays this friendl. oh and newcomers beware earlyer this morning there were bandits around who kidnapped people.

oh and btw server seemes to be currently down but the list on the page shows it as online, i hope its nothing major.
