Title: Valmod
Post by: ItsBob on August 18, 2018, 04:08:40 PM
Simple question, should we keep Valmod when we hit A17?

Greetings bob. Valmod is great. although it will take a while to update to a17. We will be able to wait? I do not know ... I think we'll have enough content in vanila, at least for a few months, as in each new alpha.
Pd; where are you that I do not see you ? I'll steal the pyramid if you do not help me paint! xD

Hey Karnal,

And thanks for your reply, this really helps us get a vision of what the players would like to see. Most likely it will take 1-2 weeks for Valmod to be updated.
I have been real busy irl hehe, i have been trying to be online a little more this weekend  O0

I'm for keeping Valmod.

It adds a ton of depth to the game.

Unless someone can think of any negative aspects of Valmod (or any other mod for that matter), I don't see a reason to remove mods.
They exist, in most cases, to provide more content and gameplay. Why would you want to remove something like that?

Change my mind  8)

I solely think we should swap mods. Maybe try a different one? War of The Walkers, Starvation, are some great choices out there!

i've seen some ppl with top system still get perfomance impact when opening forge etc ...
lag is a real issue with valmod and by introduction of weapon silencers and scopes and other new features vanilla has more realism than valmod in my oppinion.
valmod makes the game WAY too easy compared to vanilla A16 only hard thing about it is needing new skill sets to make items which again will be rendered useless when we can scrap books to get survivor notes=1+skill points in original a16 we had to use skill points wisely even after reaching max lvl we would need to do many quests to get skill points ... all and all LAG is the main issue id say and for that alone i say no to valmod.
btw why poll clozed so soon?

Hey Nomad and thanks for your opinion.

For the players downvoting Valmod, what do you think of other mods such as: https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?33566-War-of-the-Walkers-Mod (https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?33566-War-of-the-Walkers-Mod)

I personally like starvation mod on max difficulty.

but i understand that would murder a large amount of the playerbase.
i voted for vanilla in next release but push difficulty up a notch to fix the Endgaming in a week issue.

it also gives everyone the best opportunity to experience the new stuff. and also to see where we are with optimisations
and lag.... as if vanilla has gotten worse any mod will only compound it.

Also im 100% sure all mods will be broken AF after update..... so much changing and rebalanced it will throw mods off.
